Terms of use
The terms for using this website. The terms for a piece of work are agreed with you directly, before anything starts.
Nothing on this website is a contract. Reading a page, or messaging me about it, does not commit you to anything and does not commit me to anything. What a particular project includes, what it costs and what happens if either of us changes our mind is agreed in writing with you before any work begins.
Capture & Keep is run by Amanda as a sole trader, based in Colchester, Essex.
Using this site
The guides, question lists and articles here are written to be used. Use them with your own family, print them, take them to a care home, read the questions off your phone. That is what they are for.
Please do not republish them as your own work, or reproduce them on another website or in a product for sale. If you want to quote a passage somewhere, with a link back, that is fine and you do not need to ask.
What the advice is and is not
Everything here is practical advice drawn from doing this work. It is not professional advice of any other kind.
In particular, pages that touch on dementia, illness or bereavement are about having a conversation and keeping a story. They are not medical, care or legal advice, and I am not a clinician. If you need advice about someone’s health or care, get it from the people qualified to give it.
I keep these pages accurate and correct them when I find something wrong, but I cannot promise that every detail about, say, a phone feature or a third party service is current at the moment you read it.
Links to other sites
Where a page links somewhere else, that site is not mine and I am not responsible for what is on it.
Prices shown on this site
Prices on this site are a starting point, not a quotation. What a piece of work costs depends on what it involves, and you get a specific figure from me before you commit to anything.
The terms of an actual project
Anything that matters to you as a customer, which is to say what is included, what it costs, when it is paid, what happens to recordings and material, how changes and approval work, and what happens if either of us needs to stop, is agreed with you directly in writing before work starts.
If you want to see those terms before you talk to me, message me and ask. It is a reasonable thing to want up front.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
